Reducing image sizes without loss

After retrieving the last version of Xinha, I ran Trout's GIF optimizer (http://chemware.co.nz/tgo.htm) on the GIF files in the images folder. The tool says that it reduced the images from 22900 to 18403 bytes, saving 4497 bytes ! There are other pictures in the subfolders.

Similarly, I ran PNG optimizer (http://psydk.org/PngOptimizer) on the 2 PNG pictures. insertmacro.png reduced from 638 to 477 bytes ed_save.png reduced from 230 to 173 bytes (maybe ed_save.png is deprecated ?)

Can you apply these optimizations on the pictures ? Thanks !

Probably it is worthwhile doing this, but keeping the master images of course.

rev [] applied this to all gifs in the trunk (the originals -- for whatever reason -- are however recoverable from the svn history)
