uncaught exception: XMLHttpRequest.open access to this method was denied

i experienced this problem once i setup my apache to utilize SSL/AES. meanwhile no changes to my application code were made...

when requesting via http/port80 everything is just fine like usual once i req the page via https/port443 the error is produced.

the original error message from Moz/german reads as follows:

Fehler: uncaught exception: Die Erlaubnis für den Aufruf der Methode XMLHttpRequest.open wurde verweigert.

for all those "non-germans" that would translate something like this: Error: uncaught exception: calling of method XMLHttpRequest.open was denied.

what do you make of this? i couldn't help it. i am thankfull for any piece of advice,

es hängt in sofern mit dem projekt zusammen, dass ich der meinung bin, dass es sich um einen bug handelt. in meiner konfiguration startet xinha nicht, und steigt mit der obenstehenden meldung aus. dies passiert nur bei https nicht bei http

die methode XMLHttpRequest.open findet firefox nicht "gut", das ist schon alles. mehr kann ich leider nicht dazu sagen, könnte ich es würde ich mich nicht hier melden :)

vielleicht hast du ja einen tip.

Almost certainly one of two things 1. server setup problem 2. Xinha setup problem (specifically trying to go across SSL to non-ssl or vice-verca).
