#561 closed defect (fixed)

The newbie guide is confusing on one simple point

From the guide:

If you are using a different directory, make sure you change the location of htmlarea.js in the above code accordingly.

You will also need some config code included in the page too - there are two ways of doing this:

1) copying the text below into a new file called "my_config.js" and including this file using

<script type="text/javascript" src="/xinha/my_config.js"></script>

This allows you to use many X-Areas on many pages all with the same configuration.

2) just copy the code below into your page - this will need to be done on every page you want an editor on, and will allow you to customise each one as you want.

You will need to surround the code below with <script type="text/javascript"> </script> tags if you use this second option.

Now, this might sound good and all in your ears, but it's just a tad confusing.
Please move the last part ("You will need to...") to be *in* point "2)", please. Took me a while to figure out what you meant and what caused stuff to not work. (I'm not familiar with Javascript and it took a while before I found out that I could use the javascript console thingy)-

But as I said, please *include* that last line IN point 2, and remove the "if you use the second option", that's just confusing.

Otherwise, thanks for Xinha, it suits my needs perfectly! (admin interface for articles and such)
