WYSIWYG view of font face and size selections

Xinha is the most powerful editor available, but one capability that other high end editors have (and have had for quite some time now) that Xinha lacks is the ability for fonts to be selected with a preview of what they look like, and sizes to show what size they are.

Mozilla makes it possible to show font styling in a dropdown, IE does not. This is typically done on a layer. It can greatly reduce toolbar real estate that is being used, and today is an expected capability.

I think this is something that would be best done as a plugin.

I agree, this is definitely something that Xinha should have, and it shouldn't be too tough to do.

I'm moving this to 0.97 since we've done a feature-freeze for the 0.96 release.

[1384] adds a new plugin "FancySelects?" which does exactly this. Uses jQuery Select2 under the hood, as always if you want to load your own jQuery do so before you load plugins and it will use yours.
