Safari puts selected HTML near bottom if edited

In Windows Safari 3.1, using the Extended Example, I can select text from the first paragraph with the EditTag plugin, click OK and nothing changes, which is the correct behavior. But, if I type additional characters into the text area and click OK, the text will appear in the last or second to last bullet of the demo HTML.

tried to fix in rev [978]: this is a problem with webkit's implementation of window.showModalDialog() that tends to loose the selection in the original window. Changed it to our custom implemantation, with the downside that a click in the opener window makes the popup go to the background
