#1112 closed defect (fixed)

retain editing position between modes generates char 173 in source code

Description

When using Firefox 2.x switching between modes (wysiwyg and html-source) generates each time a character (ASCII 173) in the html-source code. You can not see it in Xinha, but it stays in html-sourcecode when posting and saving the contents of the texarea (e.g. to db or a file). This is of corse a quite destructive behaviour. The bug must have something to do with the "retain editing position between modes" feature, as the character 173 is used there (see ticket #900). Maybe if the bug is not resolvable one could at least add a configuration possibility to disable retain editing position feature.

fixed rev [930] -- don't know why, but window.find() stopped finding in the textarea all of a sudden. While at it, fixed problem in FF3
