#1092 new defect

Xinha editor does not scroll properly if wrapped by a scrolling div

Reported by: guest Owned by: gogo

Component: Xinha Core Version: trunk

Description

In IE 6/7 the Xinha editor doesn't scroll with the rest of the div content well if it is hosted in a scrolling div. The toolbar images scroll slowly and the region displaying the document being edited halts at the top of the div.

If all xx.style.position='relative' statements are commented out in XenhaCore?.js, then the editor will scroll as expected.

Please also reference another post http://xinha.gogo.co.nz/punbb/viewtopic.php?id=1036 refering to similar behavior.

This is a IE issue. You can workaround it by putting style="position:relative" on the container div.

Is there anything we can do about this?

I think the only thing you can do is to remove all the relative position style as mentioned. This behavior also depends on the doctype of the document.
